After Grace and i left PS Cafe, we headed over to the nearby Cafe Hacienda.
I found an acquaintance working there and she was nice enough to introduce us their nice cakes on the menu.

We decided on the Hazelnut cake

i must say it really tasted damn good. It's super chocolaty, yet not enough to make you sick on even the last mouthful, and there is a crispy layer which went so well with the entire taste. Not too sweet and quite creamy.

We chose to sit at the alfresco area because it's the only area with sofa and it was rather cooling outside because it was drizzling.

I didn't take any strong liking to the cafe's interior, because it's rather formal and there wasn't any really interesting things to take note of.

However the ambience is rather class, and it would be nice to have a simple meal there.

Didn't take a picture of the menu because we only went to the counter and ordered the cake.

Also, we were given a discount because we were "friends" of the cafe. So lucky man.

Here are some photos of the other cafes that we "walked past"

The branch at dempsey hill is freaking cool.

The interior is super cool, and you really get the feel that you are in a foreign country, not Singapore.

this is totally New York man.

Barracks at House

House is the name of the building, and Barracks is the name of the shop. It was a combination of a spa, a cafe and a bar all under one.

The spa level was SUPER cool. Oh my all the furniture were super nice, everything was so meticulously decorated, BUT, we couldn't take photos T.T should have just taken when i first entered the place before the staff start telling us we can't take photos. sigh.

Then, we went to the cafe restaurant and it was so packed! A lot people were having some tea buffet and since we only wanted a simple ala carte and drink, it seemed like we came at the wrong timing.

Hence, we only walked around and just snapped here and there.

The interior design is nice, and there were very classy looking VIP rooms.
However, the crowd killed the ambience! Too much noise and too cramped too.
